Our Story

In 1972, after completing refrigeration school, Leon Findeisen decided to start a refrigeration service company with his classmate, Ron. The two decided to name their company L&R Refrigeration. After a year of being in business, Leon bought out Ron’s share of the company after the classmates decided to part ways. Leon made the decision to keep name after already investing in advertising and becoming well-know as L&R.

L&R Refrigeration started and still remains a small, family business. The original employees were Leon Findeisen as the owner and a service technician, Elizabeth Findeisen (Leon’s wife) as the office manager, Debi Findeisen (Leon’s daughter) as the assistant.

Originally L&R Refrigeration started out servicing residential appliances and doing heating/cooling. After a few years, Leon expanded into Commercial Refrigeration and Ice Machines, which became his passion. Leon’s son, Neal Findeisen, found his passion was the same as his dad’s, and started tagging along from an early age and working part-time in high school. In 1980, after graduating high school, Neal became a full-time service technician. Together Leon and his son build L&R Refrigeration into a thriving business with a stellar reputation.

Neal purchased the company when his dad retired in 2004, and is the current owner of L&R Refrigeration. In 2009 Neal’s son, Logan Findeisen, went from working part-time during high school to a full time technician. Neal and his son, Logan, continue to keep the L&R reputation to a high standard. Elizabeth has since retired and Kaitlin Findeisen (Logan’s wife), has taken over the office manager position. Logan and his wife, brought with them many new changes in the daily operations.

Leon passed away in 2016, but his values and dreams live on as L&R Refrigeration continues to offer honest and high quality service. The L&R team; Neal, Logan, and Kaitlin would like to thank all our customers for their support of the years.
